We live on a small farm in beautiful southwest Virginia where we participate in the Abingdon Farmers Market every Saturday. Our sales include some of my smaller paintings as well as a few other crafts, along with the sale of our local honey and farm fresh chicken and quail eggs. You can not have the last name Quales without having something quail to sell.

I love gardening, art and music I am a cosmetologist/ esthetican by trade. because I love to help people to be their most beautiful self. I decided to pick up my pencils and pens and started drawing again a few years before meeting Christine Berg and Kyle Buckland who taught me the joys of oil painting, acrylics, and plein air.

I bounce from from drawing, oils,acrylic, and watercolors depending on the mood and what when it strikes me. I love being outdoors, so I have found true joy in plein air painting and its challenges it bring, I also love painting from photos of the outdoors in my small home studio and when time allows I meet up and paint with my friends and fellow artist at Laurel Springs Studio.

Along with this I am a wife of almost 43 years, mother to 3 wonderful children, more mommy to several others. Nana to 5 beautiful and talented young lades. A daughter to a wise lady who taught me to try to leave things better than you found them and too see how beautiful God made the world we live in.
